Where do I even begin - Laurie is the reason my wedding day was what I imagined it to be in my head and such a success. The moment I began telling Laurie my vision, she was attentive and totally understood the vibe I was going for. When I walked in to see my reception for the first time, I was speechless and blown away. Making a huge venue space look filled out and beautiful is not a simple task - do not attempt to do this by yourself.
Planning my wedding was a stressful time, but Laurie took so much stress off my plate. If there is something Laurie doesn't have in her inventory, she will go out of her way to find what you are looking for. She's excellent at understanding color combinations, candle placement down to the smallest detail of where/how to display the napkins. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Laurie Duffy at Shindig Event Design! I was giving my daughter a bridal shower in Dallas and I live in Waco. I found Laurie’s website by accident and I am so glad I did. From the first time I talked to her she took away my stress about the entire event and always said “Don’t worry, I got this” and she did! She had amazing ideas and so much talent in knowing what needed to be done and placed everything perfectly. The guests were in awe as was my daughter which made me very happy. She is very organized and has beautiful décor to choose from. My daughter was so impressed that she used her for her rehearsal dinner. Oh my gosh where do I begin! Laurie is an angel gifted to all stressed out brides!! LITERALLY! Her talent really shined on my wedding day when my guests couldn't stop praising the beauty of the decorations and perfect little personal touches she made around the venue. Laurie was amazing from the beginning: super responsive to any communication and passionate about making my wedding day PERFECT! Before I even had a question or concern she already had the solution/answer. If I ever wanted to meet up with her, she would meet up with me as many times as needed to keep me at ease.
The day of my wedding I didn’t have to lift a finger when it came to the decor. She had everything set up beautifully. Allowing all my guests, family and bridal party to just enjoy the day. She is a perfectionist on everything she does. Even the smallest things I didn’t think mattered at the time matter to her because that’s how perfect she is at doing her job.
And let’s not forget the important part $$$ She is reasonable and can work with your budget. Whether you’re wanting to just rent her decor or hire skills she can do it all. Laurie and her husband helped us out so much on our wedding day, even when it was not their place to do so. That meant sooo much to us. I can honestly say she cared and wanted our day to be so special! <3

“I had the pleasure of working with Laurie and Shindig Event Design & Rentals for my daughter’s recent wedding. Laurie was recommended to us by our florist as her company had all the rental items we were looking for! My daughter was so excited we found exactly what she wanted. We then went to our Venue to tell them where these items would be coming from and they told us we could not use them, as we had to go through their preferred rental vendor who did not have what we were looking for. After I went back to Laurie to tell her this news and how disappointed we were she asked if we would give her permission to contact the coordinator at our Venue. She went above and beyond to meet with our Venue's coordinator to promote herself, her company, and shared her quality rental items that we would be using. She was able to work out an agreement with them that allowed us to use her services and rentals for my daughter's special day. Everything turned out beautiful and my daughter was thrilled. “She was the only person in San Diego that was able to accomplish this quite difficult task of constructing my daughters dream 8 ft x 8ft "Picture Frame" stained wood arch for her wedding at L'Auberge Hotel in Del Mar. The Arch set the tone and was the focal point for the bride and grooms vows during the Ceremony and also remained behind the sweetheart table all night for our chic sophisticated wedding my daughter and son in law wanted.
